Is
22 Over the Hill?
Dear
Anthony
I am 22 , i want to go to kurfew but i don't know the age range
to get in. I feel
that i will not fit in cause of my age. I also don't
understand why
Kurfew
is not open on sundays I think it will give more chances to oldies
like
me
to go out and have fun.

Dear
NJ Med-Student,
Oldies!!! At 22 you're an "oldie?" Now we're beginning to understand
where these age phobias arise. Some "older" people are hesitant
about coming to Kurfew because they don't know what to expect.
Kurfew is "America's Largest Young Gay Dance Party" and when we
say "young" we're referring to our core crowd which is in the range
of 18 to 28. This does not however mean that the club is restricted
to people of this age, this is merely the age group of the majority
of the crowd that we draw in. We focus on rejecting (and ejecting)
those who exhibit "predatory" behavior, regardless of their age.
22 is by no means over the hill, and it's an age when many young
gay people first begin to become comfortable with their sexuality.
Since you are only as old as you feel, I say throw on your party
hat and take the plunge. Hopefully that also answers the second
part of your question, concerning your suggestion for a Sunday night
Kurfew party. With 1,200 young gay peeps clearly Saturday
is the night and Kurfew is the place. So bring your creaky
old body down and check it out...you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Use the mid-block entrance and not the straight entrance and have
a fun time. See you on Saturday. And I won't ever call
you GRAMPS again!!!
