18 at Midnight...Now let me in!

Dear Anthony,

I will be eighteen soon and was thinking of going to New York to have my  party at Kurfew.  Since it will be the first night I spend as eighteen, however, can I show an I.D. that has my birthdate on it?  Do I need to make arrangements to get into the club?  Will I be able to get in?  I'd also like to know--I'd like to invite some open minded but straight friends--since I won't yet be a regular at Kurfew's, is there anyway I can do this? Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hey Bi Birthday Boy,
I think it's a great idea that you're going to have your best buds to Kurfew for your birthday.  As long as you are legally 18 on that evening, you won't have a problem getting through the door...if you actually turn 18 on Sunday, you'll have to wait till midnight to actually be admitted, but that's a good time to arrive anyway.  Be sure to bring valid state ID, such as a driver's license, birth certificate or passport.  And as long as your straight friends don't look like they are there to make trouble and don't demonstrate any anti-gay behavior, everything will be OK.  Hey, if you have a while before your birthday, why not try to set something up a special event through Kurfew!  Email boys@kurfew.com and tell them when your birthday is and how many people you want to bring.
Happy Birthday!!
— Ambiguous Anthony
