"Gay Things at NYU?"

Der Anthony,
Hey there.. I have a few questions about Kurfew.  This coming fall I am  planning on attending NYU.  Because of my new relocation, I had been looking up information on gay clubs and other sorts of gay stuff.  I came across the   Kurfew web page and had been reading some things on it.  There had been   people on the page writing you and talking about something about straight   people go in a door and gay people in another door.  I do not get that..  I   am gay and all, but could you explain to me what that is all about.  Hey, I  am all for it by what I understand of it, but if you could clear it up I  would appreciate it.  Also, I was reading your page and it said you attend  NYU.  I had one quick question about that.  Are there any gay clubs/gay things to do at NYU?  My only fear next year is meeting friends at college,  and being a young gay male I WANT GAY FRIENDS!!    So, if you could suggest  anything I would appreciate it.  Thank you!
—  Matt

Dear Matt,
The Tunnel has two seperate entrances because Kurfew (the gay party) is a VIP seciton of the club.  It is exclusive to gay and some gay-friendly people.  These people enter through the Kurfew door and have full access to the club.  The separation is to provide a fun and safe atmosphere for the gay crowd that we draw in.  As far as gay organizations a NYU, I know of one called LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender) which is a fairly decent organization which mainly puts together different queer related events at the University.  However, it isn't necessary to join this organization to meet other gay guys. I wouldn't really worry too much about making gay friends in the city, it is relatively easy, especially at NYU.  I would strongly suggest getting involved with Kurfew if you are interested in meeting people.  Our crew is filled with a bunch of great guys and it's a lot fun as well.  If you are interested, email us at jobs@kurfew.com.  Hope this has been a help, if you have any other quesitons or concerns feel free to email me.
— Ambiguous Anthony
