Relationship between an older and younger guys (Rod)
One good thing about gay relationships is that there's much greater tolerance for differences betweeen two people in a relationship, whether they be racial differences, age differences, religious differences, social class difference, etc. Still, the attraction needs to be mutual for something to be successful. Some boys are attracted to older guys, and some just aren't. If you enjoy the company of this 18 year old, I'd remain friends. Something might develop in the future. Or perhaps it won't. In either case, you can learn to appreciate your younger friend for qualities beyond the way he attracts you.
My disagreement with Anthony is on the "2nd Road," which I'd call "Pathetic Pursual." Since this boy has already been quite clear of his lack of romantic interest in you, pursuing him in this way and trying to "buy his love" would most likely annoy him and ultimately drive him away. Most "older" guys who like younger guys tend to learn this quickly, and act responsibly by backing off when someone does not return interest. Those who never learn this tend to get labeled as "predatory old men." I hope you smart enough to avoid spiraling down into this latter camp.
