Jacob...the boy came up to you and asked you your last name. For whatever reason he asked, he's already broken the ice, and now's your chance to get a little more friendly with him.

Yes it's difficult, but what do you really have to lose? If he's straight, he's straight, and you're in the same place you were anyway.

If he's gay, then a lot of other possibilities are present.

I'd say live life a little, and approach him as if you'd like to be friends...then take it from there.
