If you get along so well with her, why not pursue a friendship. Drop by and let her know that you miss her friendship and want to stay in touch with her outside the job. If she expresses interest, it doesn't mean she's gay, but it's a good first step.

If you learn for certain that she's not gay or not interested (i.e. she has a boyfriend she's in love with), be prepared to move on with your life. In other words, don't allow yourself to get so head-over-heels that you won't be able to get out!
