To come out or not to come, that is the question. I think that this is a very situation dependent decision. On one hand you don't want to ostracize yourself from your friends and family but on the other hand how fully integrated can you actually be if you can't even be honest with the people around you? I think that you should test the waters, tell your closest friend first maybe and see how that goes over. As far as being lonely and depressed, I found this web sight where you can find information on youth activities in Scotland including support chats and social things.
