Ask Jeff & Anthony
Gay in Scotland

Dear Anthony and Jeff
I have a huge problem. I am 16 and live in Scotland. The problem is I have found it really, really difficult to come out. I have yet to tell any of my friends for fear of rejection. At a time when gay sex is always in the news, I get the feeling that there is some hatred in our conversations. Also, my parents have been known to make some homophobic comments which make me wonder as to how they would react. I worry about telling anyone as I am still at school and I don't want the last few years there and at home to be a nightmare. There is also nowhere that I know of that gay people can go to meet up, which means I am stuck when it comes to trying to find another gay teenager. I don't want to rush around having sex with the first person I meet, but I would like someone so I can explain how I feel. At the moment I just feel really lonely and depressed about the whole thing-Lonely and Depressed
Gay in Scotland
Hang in there, some suggestions
I know how you feel!
