The topic of trying to guess someone's orientation has been covered in numerous posts on the board, so read through them for some good advice.

Remember that clues can reveal only so much...and they're often wrong. Furthermore, even if someone IS gay, they might not be ready to come out, nor admit it to others or even themselves. Finally, even if the person is gay, he may not be interested in you that way!!! So you'll have to make a decision based on the information that you have, and decide whether the risk of losing his friendship is worth the benefit of potentially gaining something more. Nothing ventured is nothing gained, but it makes sense to first get some sense that he may indeed be even gay.
