When we like somebody, it's easy to see "signs" that they are interested in us too. The "kick in the nuts" incident may truly be an indication of interest, or perhaps it was all just a freak accident. We weren't there, so can't really tell.

If that was his attempt to try to get your attention, perhaps you need to put out a couple of "innocent feelers" on your own. This can be fun. For example, next time you see him, innocently massage his shoulders from behind, or keep your arm brushed up against his at a movie theater, etc.

If you continue to feel there's "something" going on, then you might carefully proceed to come out to your friend. If you're lucky, he'll do the same, and if you're luckier, you might be able to move beyond your current friendship.

The risk, of course, is potentially losing your friendship. So, get more than just a "sliver" of evidence of his interest before you pursue him in this way!
