Friend went after my boy...should I be mad? (Angelwings)
You have every right to be mad at this so-called "friend." With so many other boys in the world, it's incredible how many go out of their way to get involved with their friend's ex-boyfriends, current boyfriends, or love interests!!! Such a friend is basically saying to you: "my immediate sexual interests are far more important than any friendship we have," Should you decide to keep him as a friend, (and I'd strongly consider that) you certainly now know that you can't really trust him with certain information. If he's betrayed you once, he's likely to be quite willing to betray you again.
True friends respect each other's feelings and avoid getting involved in a situation that will certainly cause another friend pain or anguish.
Do you tell your friend that you're mad? That's up to you. Personally, I'd give him a piece of my mind, and tell him that you need to seriously question if he is indeed a friend. In all likelihood, he'll get defensive and you probably won't get very far. After all, he's already demonstrated a serious lapse in ethics.
As far as the boy that you liked, the situation is now very muddy. If you still have your heart set on this boy, and the boy has not become involved with your friend, I'd say you should go ahead with your original plans. If things have changed too much for any relationship to be possible, then chalk this one up as a loss...and remember that your so-called friend basically sabotaged your relationship.
In the future...keep your love interests to yourself until you're ready to make your move!
with so many guys in the world, it's amazing that some people seem to go out of their way to betray their friends!!!
