Pushed back in the closet

Well, im not sure if this is a common scenario or not but here goes. Im a student at a University in Florida, just before i left for college i came out to my best friend after learning that he was also gay..i told my parents about a week later and my mother declared it to be a phase although my father seemed to accept it ...after returning home from school i seem to have been banished back into the closet as both of them seem to have either forgotten or dont aknowledge it ...i dont know how to bring it back up. What should i do.
