"Love" is a concept, and it represents different things to different people. One of the reasons that young people date around is because they want to get a sense of what they like and what they don't. There's the component of physical attraction, sexual chemistry, beating hearts and all that. And there's the practical component of finding someone with common interests, who can be a good friend, who will be loyal, etc. The practical aspect is important for any relationship to survive long-term because the initial physical chemistry will diminish over time.

If you're satisfied with your current relationship, even if there are no flying sparks and even if you're not thinking about him 100%, then you might well hold onto it. You're ahead of millions of other lonely people in the world. If, on the other hand, you feel an unnerving need to find something more, or to at least explore what else is out there, you'll need to let your boyfriend know. Only you can make this important decision about your life because only you can know exactly how you're feeling.

Good luck and let me know how it goes.
