Anthony's Take

I have given my take on the whole bisexual/telling parents thing before, but I will do it one more time in case you missed it.

The way I see it, if you are a bisexual teen, there is really no reason to tell your parents unless you are in a somewhat serious relationship with a member of the same sex. My reasons for this are that 1) teens tend not to discuss sex with their parents in general, so if you for example fantasized constantly about the girl in your english class, you wouldn't at dinner say to you parents...gee I'd really like to get with that girl...and 2) this causes parents a lot of pain, and it can be completely avoided. While I do advocate parents and children having honest relationships, I think that some privacy is in order, especially in the sexual arena.
If it turns out that you do become serious with a member of the same sex, or you realize that you are gay, there are lots of posts on the page that have great advice for coming out to parents.
Good Luck
Anthony
