Should I tell my daughter that I am gay?

Submitted By: Loucohigh

I am 38 years old and I've got married with a girl when I was 20 years old, we had a daughter. When I was 23 I realized that I was gay and I left them, but I always kept close with my daughter. 11 years ago I moved from my country to the USA. Now she is 17 and she wants to come to the US to study and live with me. I don't know if I should I talk to her over the phone or should I wait for her to get over here first.

On my family side just my mom and my sister know that I am gay. My ex-wife does not know.

I am really confused because is a delicate subject to talk over the phone, and over here I live a considerable openly gay life, and I can't change what I am. I am afraid to tell her and loses her forever, sometimes I think she is gonna hate if she knows it.

What should I do?

Thanks

Me :-?
