Judson,

You may want to start by trying to drop hints that you are gay and seeing if he responds. If he is straight you wouldn't want the discomfort of telling him flat out. You said he was a dance instructor, maybe you can ask him some questions about that...or maybe talk about a movie or a tv show that has a gay character in it. If that doesn't work out and you want to be straight foward, I think you should just tell him that you are gay, but not that you have a "crush" on him. So maybe the next time he asks you about girls or something, just say "oh, I'm gay". If he is a dance instructor I am sure he has been exposed to it and won't be harsh or anything. I am sure he will respect your honesty. Maybe he is attracted to you but not out yet. I hope that this helped a little, and please keep me updated, this is like a good book now, I really want to know how it turns out.
