In Answer To: Cheated by boyfriend and roommate! (Mr.Personality@PSU)

It hurts enough when your jilted by someone you trust. But when you get the double-whammy of betrayal from both a boyfriend and a roommate (friend, co-worker, etc. etc.) it's far more painful The anxiety and stress you've had is understandable.

Your best course of action is to recognize the actions of those around you as childish and immature and to rise above it. Ironically, both your ex-boyfriend and your roommate would probably feel just as horrible if the same situation happened to them. Yet neither has the maturity to appropriately deal with their sexual feelings toward each other. Instead they're willing to betray trusts, cheat, and destroy friendships and relationships.

What you thought was gold (your ex) was trash. And your roommate is no better. You need to get them off your mind and get on with your life. That you happen to see them on a daily basis doesn't matter. Everyone comes into contact with people they don't like, and now you have two more in the world to pass by. I would promptly purge both of them from my mind and move quickly towards developing relationships with people you can trust. There are better people out there and you'll find your life is more enriched when you find them,

Good luck!

One more point: don't bother trying to convince these two that they were wrong, or to guilt them into apologizing...they've probably concretely justified everything in their own minds.
