Safer Sex

In Answer To: Diseases? (Worried)

Well whoever has been making these comments to you is incredibly stupid...people living a "straight lifestyle" have to worry about diseases just as much as gay people (plus they have to worry about pregnancy...hahaha). That being said, the only 100% safe thing to do is be abstinant...but come on that's like so boring. Being selective with who you sleep with and using propper protection such as condoms with appropriate lubrication (i.e. not vasoline which can compromise the integrity of the latex)is a good way to protect yoruself against many things...It's not 100% safe, but it's a really really good start. If you are in a monogamous relationship for a long time with someone whose complete sexual/medical history you know, unprotected sex is relatively safe, only relatively because people are not always 100% honest and your boyfriend could cheat on you and introduce a ton of diseases into your monogamous relationship. Just some things to consider
