Coming out in Denmark: Not as easy as you think...

Hey Anthony & Jeff.

I have a serious problem. Let me first state, that I am from Denmark in Scandinavia. Now you know that. Well back to the problem at hand. You see, I am gay and I have known that for several years now. Actually since I was 15-16 years old. I am 23 today. But I have a problem coming out. My parents disapproves of gays, because they believe that it is unnatural. My mother comes a deeply religious family, not that she is deeply religious, but she shares some of their views.
This makes me fear, that she will denounce me as her son, if she ever got to know about it. I am of cause old enough, not to let them decide over me, but I have an allready great relationship with them and I don`t want to destroy that by telling them. If you know what I mean.
Being Gay in Denmark is not so easy, as general believed. I have almost same problem, with some of my friends. But those are easier to deal with. What shall I do. I have an online friends, also Danish, who is open as gay. It is a good friendship. But with me in the closet, I fear that he will grow intolerate with me and thereby cutt all connections. Something I don`t want, since have becomed so close, despite that we have never met. I am bewildered and need guidance.
