I'm mad confused...HELP!!

Hello, first off i'd just like to say that i love your advice columns, very insightful, i just hope you can shed some of the 'good stuff' on my problem.
okay, i've been dating this guy 'joe' for about a month now and i am/was really into him and he is all into me as well. i've come to realize that his liking for me has surpassed mine for him (he already used the "L" word and as far as i believe it's rediculously early to use that sort of word toward someone). Anyway there's this guy i've been talking to for awhile, we'll call him 'dan' and i finally took a trip to philly to meet him and he's totally amazing, i was a good boy the whole time even though i wanted to attack him completely. now that i met 'dan', i'm seeing all these things that i don't like in 'joe', the fact that he's not really "out" yet and that he's still in college and when he's home on break he can't see me cause he doesn't know what type of lies to make up to his parents and everything, plus i'm his first boyfriend and i've dated guys who have never had a REAL relationship before and it's hard, they screw up so much and i don't think i can go through that again, or go through someone trying to come out and all that. i'm thinking that if the timing was different then it would be perfect. am i just finding things wrong with 'joe' cause i'm attracted to 'dan'?, and is that the only reason that these issues even became a factor? things seemed to be perfectly fine until i went to philly that night, now i'm making myself sick over the whole thing, the thought of having to dump 'joe' for reasons that aren't even in his control is just so sad for me, but i suppose it's worse to stay with him for the wrong reasons, plus i think i might actually have REAL feelings for 'dan' and i've never had that before either, and i don't want to pass up the chance to possibly be in love with someone, especially since i've never had that before. Anyway please help if you can sort through this mess, i know it's random and strange, but i could use some objective advise.
