I've covered the topic of religion many times on this board, and you should read through it to learn about how frequently religious interpretations change. While many modern religions make a "big thing" about the homosexuality issue (mostly because they want as many future adherents as possible) the fact of the matter is that there have been times and cultures where homosexuality has been completed accepted, even by the Church! And I firmly believe that the homophobic teachings will go the way of the Church's support for slavery, subordination of women, animal sacrifice, etc. over the next several years.

You've been told one thing by those who want you to believe a certain version of their religious beliefs. Yet you've been told another thing by God himself, because your love is in your heart, and you recognize that you did not "choose" to feel the way you did.

The reason a same-sex relationship appears "unappealing" is because of the very societal and religious pressures that have become ingrained in your thinking. I'm not suggesting you rush out and experiment with girls. Rather, give yourself the time to follow your heart. If that leads you to a male, so be it...to a female, so be it.
