Sounds OK to me

In Answer To: Is keeping my sexuality private a good thing? (JOSH)

I don't think there is any shame in keeping your sexual identity to yourself, particularly in a town where you feel it will be detrimental to your emotional and possibly physical well-being. Telling your "closest friends" is a separate issue. From what I rememeber, High School is a time when it can be really difficult to tell who is on your side. People can be very disloyal and gossipy. If you are really interested in keeping this from the general public you shouldn't say anything to anyone who you don't fully trust. After you leave the strict social hierarchy of High School, it will be easier to tell some of the people you consider friends without having to risk returning to a setting of 700 people who might ridicule or harm you.
