Am I too young to be raising her kids???

I am a 26 year-old lesbian and I am in a serious relationship with a beautiful woman with two kids. The kids are 12 and 9 and were raised by grandma. She got them back Dec '99 (10 mos into our relationship). We all live together now. The kids do a lot of things that I do not approve of and at times I am made to feel that I do not have a say as to what they will and will not do, although I am taking care of them. I knew it would be difficult, but this has become excruciating at times. I am seriously considering living apart. Any suggestions?
