Well, first a quick comment about the so-called "leaders" of the Boy Scouts of America: To hell with them! They've caused more pain and anguish among a huge segment of the American male population than they will ever realize. They've betrayed their own moral ideals for the sake of satisfying their hate and prejudices. I hope that another organization comes around soon to offer equivalent but non-prejudiced scouting and that the BSA rapidly becomes extinct as a hate-filled relic of the 20th century.

With that said (thank you!) the internet is, for better or for worse, the place where you'll most likely find someone suitable for you. Exercise extreme caution before meeting anyone, and spend a good deal of time getting to know anyone you might meet online. The Kurfew Personals are a good place to start. Once you find someone special to you, you can decide whether you want to keep it secret or not. Keeping your sexuality from close-minded parents, or hate-mongering troop leaders is a perfectly rational and accetable plan. It does not indicate self-hatred, it only indicates a recognition of a society in need of a lot more social advancement.
