You didn't tell me how old you are, and I hate to generalize, but I have to tell you that if you guys are in your teens or early twenties, I don't see this working out for very long. That is just my opinion of course. However, if you are a little older and/or more mature than the average teen, than anything is possible. Not all unions are orthadox and I am certain that some of the most meaningful ones are not. However, you, especially, stand the risk of getting hurt in this situation. If this is really important to you, then proceed with caution. However make sure that he knows how important honesty and communication is for you and always look at the situation through the eyes of reality, so not to live in dillusion until one day, seemingly out of the blue, he leaves you for a guy.
