How do I comeout (Jay Kay)
I identify with you because I recall a relative saying cruel things about gays when I was younger. It's unfortunate that your parents are close-minded like that, but we really can't choose our parents. We can choose to rise above the poor example set by our parents, however, and that's what you should strive to do in your life!
It sounds like your parents have suspicions about you...did they find something that would suggest you're gay? Or do your mannerisms suggest you are gay? Regardless, you have every right to keep your sexual orientation from such close-minded parents and instead find some decent friends for emotional support. You should pick these friends carefully, and the ones who support you (don't worry, you'll find them) will probably grow to be very close! You might also look up the location of a gay youth group in your area as discussing your feelings with other's in your predicament will go a long way towards making you feel better about yourself and your situation.
Your parents might eventually grow up and come around. It's easier to come out to them when you're older since you won't have to rely on them for everything. Also, at 15 your parents probably still consider you too young to make a judgment about your own orientation.
My own parents grew a lot and learned a lot since the time I came out to them.
Keep me updated, I'd like to hear how it goes!!! And good luck finding a close friend or friends to confide in!
