If this guy is not gay, and you know that for a fact, I don't think you should tell him that you are in love with in. What will this accomplish? Perhaps you think it will make things easier for you to rid yourself of this burden, or maybe you even have a romantic notion that confessing your love to him will "turn" him. This will probably not happen. By telling him, you will make things uncomfortable for both of you and probably abolish all possibilities of having a good friendship with him. I think for now you should settle for being friends and not say anything to him that would serve no purpose.
