Want to know if he is really gay!

Well there is this guy at school and i really like him a lot. Well everone i know says that he is gay but he has had a girlfriend in the past and i have also. He acts very str8 and he is a football player. He also hang out some times with this other gay guy from school and he is like always with him at our FFA meetings. And one time i saw them at the movie together. Another thing is like people from other high school in our city say "Oh isn't he gay" and people say that he is. But i really dont know. Can u please help. Thanx
