No one is supposed to be straight, and just because he is a law enforcer doesn't mean he is not gay. I know plenty of gay police officers. If you are unhappy with your current relationship, that is a completely different issue. Your decision about that should not depend on this new guy at all. I think if you are unhappy you should definately end things, I know it seems difficult, but sometimes you have to force yourself to be independent to remember who you are. Be foward with this guy if you are interested in pursuing him. The next time he says he is going home to have a beer and strip down, ask him if he wants some company. That is neutral enough that if he is not gay, he won't be offended. Good Luck
