OK just as an aside...people are always saying that the "gay community" is too looksist, but look at you (and I am sorry to make an example of you here), but not only are you asking for help making friends, but these friends have to be cute too!!! Ever heard that beggars can't be choosers. Now believe it or not they do actually let str8 people into most gay places...Sit your friends down and say "look, I have been going to these str8 places with you forever, and now I need you to go out to a gay place with me just until I make some friends that I can meet up with in the future to avoid going out alone and ending up a victim of male/male rape" (as you say). If they refuse, they aren't very good friends, now are they?
