Stranded,

People from all over the world come to New York city for the large gay population. I encounter them every day. People go to San Francisco, Miami, D.C., London and many other large cities all over the world because of their gay scene. People do not however go to Austin Texas to immerse themselves in gay life. Sorry buddy but it looks like you made a poor choice. Now that you are there, what do you do? MOVE!!! If you are really interested in being in a "gayer" place, I suggest you consider transfering schools. Until then, keep on going to that one club, keep going on line and talking to people in the area. It is still early in the semester, something might turn up. Good Luck.
