Ask Dave
The frustrations are building up!

Dear Dave,
I'm a 14 year old freshmen, and I've known I was gay probably since I was 8. My Dad is
a minister, so I'm very closeted. I've read your columns and I appreciate what you're doing.
I also read in your last column that you are looking for love. My problem is very similar, in that I have felt the empty void of not having someone for a while. Even if all i did was embrace or hold some guys hand for hours, I would feel somewhat relieved. I feel even more empty when I find out about people like you, who are kind, nice, cool, and good looking (sorry if I embarrassed you). And i get frustrated with my life because I have no one, or that I couldn't go to the same school as you or someone that fits those characteristics. I know I will probably meet someone in the future, but no time soon. This and many other things in my life give me extreme anxiety. It just keeps building up, I don't know what I should do.~Andrew
