Bi and Gay Questions from Argentina

Dear Dave,
I've come across your website a couple of days ago, and I think it's just great. I'm Charlie,
from Argentina (down South), I'm 20, gay, but haven't come out yet. In fact, I came out only
to a female friend (Gabriela) and a male friend (Marcelo). My Mum passed away 13 years ago and I have no brothers or sisters, So I'm my Dad's only "source" of grandchildren, Unfortunately. That's one of the reasons why I think, I'll never come out to him. I live in a rather small community, so there are no gay bars or clubs here where to meet people. I go into chat rooms, but I can only find guys from larger towns. It's ok. Actually I did meet some of them, but I'd like someone from here. I also have a problem with bisexuals. I don't know
why I kind of reject them. There are some bi's, who say they are bi, but the only "gay" activities they have is to have sex with another guy, and never kiss him, for instance. They also say they'd never fall in love with a boy, they say it's just sex and that they only fall in love with a female. Are all bi's like that? Am I kind of "biphobic"? Another question is, I like a guy in my class, and I think he might be gay. How can I know if he's gay without asking him and without telling him I am gay? Is there any way I can do that? I'll finish my first letter, letting you know that I live in a small, narrow-minded, Catholic community, so you can guess how hard it is to be gay here... Hope to hear from you soon, Charlie..
