Well, I know you talk to this kid, try and see if you can maybe hang out after school or something. Maybe go to his house and do some homework. Get into things and just tell him how you feel. You never know until you ask! You cant read minds or you wouldn't be asking for advise.
My advise: Try and hang out and ask him.
