Regardless of what he looks like, or how different he is from you, if he's someone you really like, and you think he's also gay...why not go for it??? If he rejects you because you're gay or because you're preppy, then you've lost nothing. On the other hand, if you strike up a friendship, more can come of that...so go for it and good luck!
