You are being a stereotypist...completely. Not all gay guys are like that. I don't really get your question either...sure you can have a wife and all the other crap that you want...why coudn't you? I think that your problem is that you are searching for a group with which to identify, but none is available. You know you are not "straight", but the visible gay culture does not appeal to you. Like you said you don't know what to expect from your life...this is causing you anxiety obviously, but I think it is a good thing. With no clear road ahead of you paved by others, you will be forced to pave your own, make your own decisions and set your own standars. Sure this might throw a wrench into the gears of your "white pickett fence" scenario, but remember, even Dorothy needed to go to OZ.
