Guys my age don't like the music I listen to...

Now... before I start.. let me just say, I know I'm dated... i don't dress trendy... i don't act trendy... i don't talk trendy. Admittedly, as you may have guessed then, the teen culture of my generation is something that I never got involved in... Insofar as I am aware of myself, I don't know why that is specifically... for it wasn't really a conscious decision. I just tended more towards maturer crowds... No, this was not out of an arrogance or some superior attitude towards people my age (something of which i'm frequently and unfairly accused). It was just a
phenomnon. I was an anamoly. A perfect, inexpicable irregurality, an enigma even to myself. So... with that out of the way (and before I derail)... let me bring to bear the gravaman, as was hinted at in the heading: I really... truly... only like... classic rock when it comes to music genres. I realize how... close-minded that is. I know art evolves and that there's plenty of truly excellent contemporary stuff being made, but mine is a fixed aesthetic taste it seems, in spite of that concession. It's sad because I wish.. i really wish I.. wait... maybe I don't try hard enough. but.. jesus.. why should I HAVE to? Is it really the case that there are NO gay boys into bands like The Rolling Stones, The Who, and other legends? Am I that a misfit? You guys I assume have weatlh of experience with the scene ; maybe you can answer me that one.

P.S. PLEASE don't construe this as an attack. Comments, like the ones I've made here, have gotten me some backlash... so I emphasis here that making a critcism was not my intention.
