Well, I don't exactly consider it loyal if you are playing the fields while you have a girlfriend. If you are just with her until someone better comes along and you are actively pursuing others who could be "relationship material" then I think it is only fair that you let your current girlfriend know where she stands in your life. If you are however, just trying to increase your social circle (which is not how it sounds to me), there is nothng disloyal with that.
