The Typical Guy Problem

Before I ask my question, let me just say that I am sure you guys have answered this a million times, but I guess I feel better asking again. Anyway, I am 17 years old and live in a pretty small, rural town in Pennsylvania. I am bisexual and only my best friend (a girl) knows. I have this guy friend that I have been talking to a lot lately. Everyone believes he is gay. I am not one to go by what people in my school tell me, but the more I think about it the more it seems true. He hasn't had a girlfriend before and he seems to be awfully touchy feely with other men. He means a lot to me and I was planning on asking him to hang out. Do you think I should? Or should I get more evidence of his homosexuality first?
