Down and Confused

I recently went to a convention with a friend of mine, who I have liked since the begining of the school year. While we were there though I really started to like him more. Now that I am back home my parents and teachers at school keep asking me what is wrong and saying that I havent been the same since i went there. I have now recently come to realize I am bi and I have had thought of suicide so that i wouldnt have to tell my parents. I really want to tell my friend but I am afraid of what could happen if i tell him.
