If you feel this boy is gay and are sure he is then ask him. Although if it seems like asking him would put you into a hostile situation, don't. About being gay, I cannot tell you if you are, only you can! I can tell you from the behaviors you have that you sound like very much are gay.
My advise: go for it seems to be a good way to explore your sexuality. As fro how to do it start with a yes to that weekend thing! if I answers this too later ask him if you could maybe get coffee or a movie.
